Technology Innovations for Aging: Balancing the Benefits and Challenges

On 9/24, Project GOAL Executive Director Deb Berlyn presented remarks virtually before a live audience in Jamaica at a regional AI4IA conference. Discussed topics included how technology innovations for aging offer a transformative opportunity to enhance the quality of life for older adults, the new innovations here today, and those on the horizon, using AI and Gen AI tech. The presentation also included how challenges such as accessibility, affordability, and the digital divide continue to be barriers and building trust in these technologies is critical, as older adults continue to confront scams and fraud and other privacy and security concerns.
